Delhi HC stays order on Rahul brain mapping

The Delhi High Court on Thursday stayed a lower court order to conduct brain mapping on Rahul Mahajan in the drug abuse case.

Justice B D Ahmad observed that the petitioner may be allowed a reprieve in view of arguments by his counsel Ankur Chawla.

Rahul, son of slain Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan, on Tuesday moved the high court against a trial court order allowing the Delhi polices plea for conducting a brain mapping test on him in the drug abuse case.

Rahul said the lower court order was an attack on his personal liberty and privacy.

New Delhi: Supreme Court Stays Gujarat Demolitions

New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the Gujarat high court order directing authorities to remove all religious structures that were encroaching upon public spaces across the state without any discrimination. The order to this effect was passed by a Bench comprising Justice Ruma Pal and Justice Dalveer Bhandari on an urgent plea made by the Centre during the mentioning hour seeking to stay the May 2 high court directions. Delhi HC directs police to produce rapist

New Delhi : Acting on the complaint of a minor girl that R K Puram Police refused to register a case against her neighbour, who allegedly raped and forcibly married her, the Delhi High Court has directed the government to produce before it the accused, Rahul. In a letter to the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, the victim claimed that she was compelled to complain directly to the court as police refused to register any case against the accused despite repeated pleas by her family.
