Asian countries discuss birdflu in New Delhi
Health and Agriculture Ministers from 11 countries thoughout Asia are meeting today in New Delhi to discuss strategies to deal with further outbreaks of bird flu.
Philippa Mc Donald reports this week Thailand recorded its 15th death from bird flu, after not having an outbreak of the virus since last year.
In Indonesia there have been forty two deaths and the toll is similar in Vietnam.
Agriculture and Health ministers from eleven south and south east Asian countries are attending a meeting organised by the World Health Organisation.
WHO spokeswoman Harsaram Pandey says the focus is on controlling bird flu and better communication with local communities.
Over half the people reported to have been infected with bird flu over the past three years have died.
