ONGC leaves Delhi powerless

New Delhi : ONGCs inability to supply gas to Delhi for power could be a big setback for the city.

More so because Delhi will host the Commonwealth Games in four years. Now, the Delhi government is looking elsewhere for gas supply.

Bad news for the Delhities harassed by frequent power cuts.

ONGC will not supply gas to the capital, to power phase 2 of the upcoming 350 MW Pragati Power Project.

The company says, they have no gas to spare for Delhi from its Panna-Mukta Tapti fields.

However, the Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dixit seems optimistic about tapping other sources till the commonwealth games.

It was built from the remains of twenty-seven Hindu and Jain temples. The Quwwat-ul-Islam Masjid can be a bewildering experience for those unfamiliar with its history. On one hand there is the beautiful, curvaceous Islamic calligraphy, the arabesque designs and then there are pillars with clearly pre-Islamic Hindu motifs. The reason is of course quite simple; the pillars were taken from the 27 temples of Qila Rai Pithora, the
