New Delhi : Termination notices were on Tuesday issued to striking medicos in state-run hospitals in the capital even as Delhi government on Tuesday came out with ads for recruiting junior and senior doctors to cope with the situation.
The medical superintendents in Delhi government hospitals have started issuing notices to the striking doctors this morning, Health Secretary D S Negi said.
Notices were issued to the more than 700 doctors who are on strike to resume duties within 24 hours or face termination of service.

With medical services in the Capital hit badly as a result of the strike by resident doctors, Delhi government has issued notices to them to rejoin duty or face action.
The government has issued notices to the junior and senior resident doctors asking them to come back on duty or face break in service, Delhi Health Secretary DS Negi said.
He said services in the Delhi government hospitals were affected by the strike as 70 per cent of the doctors in these hospitals belong to the resident doctor category.

AIIMS Resident Doctors Association member Dr Vinod Patro said that they have appealed various groups such as traders, resident welfare associations, bank personnel and members of BAR associations to skip the work from 9 a.m. to 12 noon today.
According to the striking medicos, the move is being supported by the Delhi Medical Association (DMA) and the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
New Delhi : With the Delhi government terming the strike by medicos as totally illegal and threatening action against them, doctors of 14 hospitals here today withdrew their strike even as services continued to be affected in other hospitals.
Resident doctors of 14 of the 45 hospitals that are under the directorate of health services of the Delhi government have withdrawn their strike called as part of the anti-reservation stir, an official spokesman said.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice to the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi on a petition of a second-year reserved category student challenging his termination as his performance was allegedly below standard.
Issuing notice, judge Anil Kumar directed the IIT Delhi to file a reply by September 11. Petitioner Kshiteez Kuldeep said the institute deputy registrar had struck him off the rolls on July 18, saying that his cumulative performance was below the required level for continuation.

New Delhi : Nineteen ML As and an MP belonging to Congress in Delhi are in a spot of trouble, with the Election Commission (EC) issuing notices to them on a complaint seeking their disqualification in the office of profit issue, sources said.
The EC issued notices to MP Sajjan Kumar and the 19 ML As on May three seeking their reply to a complaint filed by BJP legislator Vijay Jolly, who sought their disqualification on the ground that they occupied offices of profit under the NCT government.
